A Volvo family history like no other. Thure Resmark was a doctor on Orust, an island off the coast of Sweden. Needing something sturdy to get him to house calls in the 1920s, he owned not one but two of our very first sedan – the #PV4 (reportedly so as one would be ready to go at all times). Believing fresh air was key to good health, he drove with the windows down whatever the weather – including the bitterly cold Swedish winters. His trust in Volvo paid off, driving his PV4 for 30 years before replacing it with another Volvo, a PV444 in 1957. His PV4 entered the Volvo collection, and we were recently able to reunite his grandchildren with the vehicle.
