Last week at the 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 in Valencia, the conversation moved past the trading screen and into what actually keeps grid-connected storage running day to day. Our Chief of Staff, 𝗠𝗮𝘅𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝗶𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗿, took the stage at the Apolo Conference Hall with "𝘉𝘦𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘪𝘥: 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘖𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘙𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘎𝘳𝘪𝘥-𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘚𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦" – a candid look at what it really takes to turn a battery's market position into reliable, repeatable operations. He then joined the panel "𝘖𝘸𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘭𝘦𝘹 𝘞𝘢𝘷𝘦: 𝘛𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘌𝘶𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘦'𝘴 𝘍𝘭𝘦𝘹𝘪𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘖𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴," where leaders from across the energy trading community tackled a shared question: how do we turn Europe's flexibility headache into a real trading edge? Three days in Valencia, 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲, and one clear theme: the firms that win the energy transition will be the ones that 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀, 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲, 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺.
