Last week, Christian Vollers, Managing Director and Owner of the Vollers Group, and Finn Börnsen, our Business Development Manager, attended the Maritime Security Seminar in Sweden. The annual event brings together PFSO representatives from Swedish ports as well as members of the police and customs authorities. With 71 participants, the conference provided an important platform for discussing current challenges in maritime security and strengthening cooperation between public and private stakeholders. As part of the conference program, Christian Vollers gave a presentation on drug smuggling and port resilience. Drawing on Vollers’ own experiences, he shared how we approach the challenge of protecting our operations from criminal threats. The presentation focused on the role of awareness, the importance of engaging employees at all levels, and the value of close cooperation with authorities and industry partners in building resilient organizations. The two-day event offered valuable insights into current developments in maritime security and created opportunities for professional exchange with representatives from ports, authorities, and the wider maritime sector. The discussions throughout the conference once again highlighted the importance of collaboration in addressing the evolving challenges facing the industry. It was a pleasure to be part of such an engaging event.
