What happens when you combine motivation and bright ideas? The WR20 – inspired by the GTI DNA, in a matching look. Built by the Team wob-racing from Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences in Wolfsburg and developed by students who apply their academic knowledge to a complex project, the WR20 will compete in the 2026 Formula Student engineering competition. Every year, over 800 teams from around 26 countries combine theory and practice to find out who can build the best formula car – proudly supported by a wide range of automotive and engineering companies. Many of the team members are pursuing dual-degree programs at Volkswagen and already taking on responsibilities early in their careers. The rollout was just the starting point. The racetrack will reveal what lies beneath the hood.
