Keel Crossing wins at the Construction News Awards 2026! 🎉 We are delighted to announce that Keel Crossing has won Project of the Year (£20m - £50m) at the Construction News Awards 2026. Keel Crossing was recognised for its outstanding community impact and long-term value for Sunderland. Judges praised the technical expertise, collaboration and commitment shown throughout delivery. A landmark project that will leave a lasting legacy for the city. This latest success adds to an impressive year for Keel Crossing, which has already won Infrastructure Project of the Year at the Constructing Excellence North East Awards and Large Project of the Year at the ICE Robert Stephenson Awards, as well as being shortlisted for the Engineering Excellence and Construction Excellence categories at the British Construction & Infrastructure Awards 2026. Well done to everyone who contributed to the successful delivery of this exceptional project.
