A recent American Banker article highlights a key payments reality: ACH volumes are rising fast, and many banks are struggling to keep up. ACH remains one of the most important payment rails in the U.S., and growing volume is exposing the limits of legacy, batch-based systems. But this isn’t really an ACH problem. It’s an architecture problem. As Robin LoGiudice noted, the bigger issue is the infrastructure behind it. Same-day ACH and expanded settlement windows have changed what the network can support, but many banks are still processing it through fragmented systems built for a very different era. In a multi-rail environment, this creates more complexity, less visibility, and more operational strain. The path forward is not replacing ACH. It is orchestrating ACH more effectively alongside RTP, FedNow, and wires within a unified payments architecture. That is where modern payment infrastructure matters most. 👉 https://lnkd.in/eTJy2kXn #Payments #ACH #Banking #PaymentsModernization #MultiRail
