This machine came in for general overhaul after some years in operation. Insulation resistance of the rotor way too low. ( if you look at the contamination - no wonder) We cleaned all parts intensively and dried the machine carefully it our vacuum oven. After claening we impergnated the machine to close minor cracks in the insulation and got the insulation values back to acceptable values. This example shows that a periodic overhaul of machines helps to prolong the total lifetime of machines. The repair we carried out are cost- and timewise negligible to abunplannes stop due to an unexpected rotor failure
