We've quadrupled capacity on our Adelaide-Perth optical corridor – one of Australia's most critical long-haul fibre routes. The AP2 upgrade, combined with last year's AP1 upgrade, means the two routes now cover 2,700km and deliver four times more capacity than before. That's more room for data to move between Australia's east and west coasts as demand grows. AI, cloud and growing digital demand are pushing more data between the coasts. The long-haul fibre routes connecting them need to keep up. Running over land rather than under the sea means data travels a shorter, faster path between cities. This investment sits alongside our work on the Australia Singapore Cable, Pacific Connect and Australia Connect with Google, all reinforcing the national backbone that enterprise, government and wholesale customers depend on.
