Did you know? Malaria is a preventable and treatable disease that still causes hundreds of thousands of deaths annually. Almost 580,000 people died of the disease in 2024 alone, according to the World Health Organisation. Sub-Saharan Africa is particularly impacted, with a large number of global cases found in some of the countries where Vivo Energy has operations, including DRC, Uganda, and Mozambique.
