The 2026 Budget confirmed what NDIS providers have been bracing for. $37.8 billion in savings over four years, and participant numbers projected to drop from 760,000 to 600,000 by 2030. Providers delivering high-quality, efficient care are best placed to ride this out, and who knows, potentially even benefit. Most of that comes down to the roster: around 80% of provider cost is people, and the roster is where quality and efficiency are decided together.
