When you give an AI assistant hundreds of tools to choose from, it has to figure out which ones to call, in what order, and how to stitch the answer together, every single time. More tools means more decisions the AI has to make before it can help you. More chances to get it wrong. Slower answers. Higher cost. More importantly: if those tools are just raw API endpoints, the search is still keyword-only. Ask about "waterproofing failures" and you'll only get back tickets that literally say "waterproofing." The problem logged as "damp staining" stays hidden. We built the Visibuild MCP around a different question: what does a site team actually want to know? Each tool designed to answer a real question in one or two calls. Semantic search across your entire defect and inspection history, so the AI finds meaning, not just matching words. The right question to ask any platform isn't how many tools does your MCP have. It's what can my team actually do in one conversation.
