Since I first discovered Large Language Models (LLMs), I’ve been captivated. What began as curiosity quickly turned into a deep learning journey—and the pace of innovation has only made it more exciting. I’ve learned a lot from the generous AI community, especially through two standout online courses: Generative AI with Large Language Models by DeepLearning.AI and LLM Engineering by Ed Donner The SuperDataScience podcast by Jon Krohn has also been a constant source of insights. Now, I’m actively working on projects that bring these ideas to life in Transportation Management. This exposure inspired me to write a dedicated piece on LLMs—not a technical deep dive, but a reflection on how innovation, driven by iteration and tweaking, is creating real value in complex domains like Transportation Management.
