The key takeaway: Amid global uncertainties, Asia Pacific travellers respond not by travelling less, but with greater intentionality. 1️⃣63% surveyed are travelling to familiar destinations within the region, with Japan topping the list. A quarter of respondents also said they would travel to major sporting events such as the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2026. 2️⃣49% of respondents are using AI to discover destinations and ideas. Credit cards and digital payments remain essential for travellers, with payment security and acceptance a big part of practical due diligence. 3️⃣While 79% booked accommodations in advance, only 51% booked experiences before departing, suggesting that travellers are preserving flexibility on their trips.
