👥 𝟯 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼... 𝗞𝗼𝗲𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘂 In our “3 Questions to…” series, we introduce the people driving Vion’s business forward. This time: Koen Relou, who is responsible for our logistics company DistriFresh B.V. Koen joined DistriFresh 8 years ago and has gained a thorough understanding of DistriFresh and all our locations. Koen is a dedicated colleague with a warm heart for chilled and frozen transport. 🔹 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲? My focus is on a reliable and efficient logistics operation, where food safety, quality and delivery reliability always come first. Our people are crucial: colleagues on the shop floor and in the office, but also our external drivers who deliver our Vion products to customers every night. They are the face of DistriFresh and deserve to feel part of the team. At the same time, I continue to look at how we can work smarter and better together with colleagues and suppliers. By investing, innovating and working more efficiently, DistriFresh remains flexible, competitive and ready for the future. 🔹𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗙𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁, 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗩𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗿𝘂𝗻𝘀 𝘀𝗺𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗹𝘆? The strength lies in how we treat each other. I enjoy being close to the operation and the colleagues who carry out the work every day in a cold environment. At DistriFresh in Boxtel, there is a true 'we' mentality: we help each other and don't leave anyone behind. We follow through on our commitments and don't stop until the work is finished. This builds trust and togetherness, especially during busy periods such as the holidays. We work with clear agreements, while remaining flexible and practical when needed. Sustainability is also increasingly important. By planning smarter, using energy more consciously and reducing waste, we keep the chain running and look ahead. This combination of teamwork, responsibility and continuous improvement that makes the difference. 🔹 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗩𝗶𝗼𝗻? What makes me most proud is the growth we have achieved at DistriFresh. Through the efforts of our teams, we have strengthened and professionalised our logistics operation while the market has become increasingly complex. Collaboration between our locations has grown stronger, enabling us to reliably support both Vion and our external customers every day. I'm also proud of the progress we've made in sustainability. We use transport more efficiently, are more conscious of our environmental impact and monitor our energy consumption.
