(Pt) O António Marques da Cruz é a terceira geração de “viticultores adegueiros”. Ali no sopé da Serra dos Candeeiros, nos solos de argilas cinzentas e de calcário não muito fundo, o clima apesar de Atlântico oferece condições excelentes para maturações equilibradas. A Quinta da Serradinha é uma das mais antigas em Portugal a cultivar a vinha em modo biológico e que com o António assumiu uma intervenção mínima na adega, razões que justificam a “pole-position” nestas postagens com garrafas. Alguns vinhos da Serradinha estão prontos para beber muito jovens e outros, como os tintos elaborados com base de Baga que o António deixa esperar o tempo necessário para que estejam no momento certo para serem disfrutados. Dois dos favoritos aqui na VinUtopia são um tinto com Castelão, elaborado numa ancoreta que está na família há tanto tempo quanto o gosto pelo fazer vinho e outro um lote de Encruzado e Arinto, um dos brancos que nos deixa sempre com água na boca. Mas hoje na foto está o rosé, elaborado em talhas de barro com a nossa Touriga Nacional (que no Oeste dá rosés muito especiais), fotografado em Peniche junto à fortaleza que já foi prisão política e que hoje bem nos pode recordar o valor de poder brindar em Liberdade. Quinta da Serradinha was arguably one of the pioneers of organic farming in Portugal, Antonio assuming with no doubts the lower end of intervention at cellar level, enough reasons for a pole-position on our bottle shots… Some of Serradinha's wines are ready to drink young, others, like the red based on Baga need the time to be ready and António lets them mature before releasing. Two of VinUtopia's favourites are a red made with Castelão on a oak "ancoreta" that's been with the family for as long as they have enjoyed making wine. Another is a blend of Encruzado and Arinto, it always leaves your mouth watering. On the post today it is the rosé made in amphoras with the Touriga Nacional, a variety delivering stunning rosés on this region. The photo with Peniche's fortress on the backdrop, a former political prison and a feedom museum nowadays, is just a gentle reminder of how important it is to be able to toast in freedom.
