A few weeks ago, I quietly updated my LinkedIn profile. Why so quiet? Because honestly, I just couldn't wait to roll up my sleeves. Stepping into the fast-paced world of Finance gave me an incredible rush of adrenaline, and diving back into data and reporting brought a welcome wave of nostalgia. I was also navigating a personal loss at the time, and throwing myself into a complex challenge that required both my head and my heart was exactly what I needed. But what does a Digital Enablement and Transformation Manager within the EDT CFO office actually do? When people hear "tech or digital transformation," they picture sleek apps and AI. But the reality in many enterprise Finance organizations is the silent struggle of highly skilled experts navigating legacy reporting tools that require a PhD in patience. At E.ON Digital Technology, we are changing that narrative. We are rolling out SAP Analytics Cloud to fundamentally transform how our controllers and commercial experts interact with their data. But a shiny new cloud-native tool is useless if the "build it in IT and toss it over the fence" mindset persists. My mission is to act as the bridge between complex technical delivery and the humans using the tools. Be the true playmaker for E.ON by driving end-to-end transformation through strategic Change Management, active Demand Management, and embedding true User Centricity into this solution. A shift this massive requires leadership that understands the hardest part of tech isn't the code, it’s the people.
