From Experience to Amazement — A Day Inside a Ro-Ro Operation After so many years in logistics, you start to think you’ve seen it all… until an operation comes along and reshapes that perspective. I recently had the opportunity to visit the Port of Santos and step aboard a Ro-Ro vessel to closely follow the export of transformers destined for data centers — critical, heavy-duty units carrying significant responsibility in every move. And that’s where the magic lies. Even with experience, witnessing the operation firsthand is something else. The precision of each maneuver, the seamless coordination between teams, and the attention to every detail… everything has to work like clockwork. Inside the vessel, every ramp, every centimeter of space, and every decision truly matters. It’s impossible not to feel a sense of respect and admiration for what we do every day — and, more importantly, to realize that there is still room to be genuinely amazed in an industry that never stops evolving. Experiences like this remind me why I chose this field: the complexity, the collaboration, and the satisfaction of seeing major projects come to life.
