What a great opportunity to have a hospital president, Michael Mayo, FACHE, and the head of a county health department, Dr. Pauline Rolle, as guest speakers for my Epidemiology students! They learned how epidemiology and public health knowledge and skills are used in both hospital and health department settings, how epidemiologists collaborate with other disciplines, and different career options with a public health degree. Both Mr. Mayo and Dr. Rolle have inspired me through my career, and it was a special moment to pass it onto my students and watch them be inspired.
