🌍 Climate action is built into the way we design, build and deliver infrastructure. Across VINCI Construction projects, our companies are developing practical solutions to reduce carbon impact, reuse resources and strengthen resilience. 🔋 In Canberra, Australia, Seymour Whyte and VINCI Construction Grands Projets are building a wastewater treatment facility where the site office is powered entirely by renewable energy, low-carbon concrete is being used, 90% of on-site materials are being reused, and all construction operations use recycled water. ♻️ On the French side of the Lyon–Turin rail line base tunnel, Eurovia Alpes ANNECY is leading a consortium managing 23 million tonnes of excavated material, with the aim of reusing more than 50% directly on the project. 🌱 In New Zealand, HEB Construction completed the Te Ahu a Turanga–Manawatū Tararua Highway, integrating large-scale environmental measures including 1.8 million native plants, 4.5 km of restored waterways and 3,000 fish relocated. 💧 In Brooklyn, New York, United States, Soletanche Bachy is contributing to the Gowanus Canal clean-up programme, building a 20,000 sq. metre diaphragm wall for an underground storage tank designed to help protect water quality during heavy rainfall. From low-carbon materials to circular resource management and nature-based resilience, these projects show how innovation is helping turn climate commitments into real-world solutions. 🔗 Read the full article: “Pioneering processes and climate action”
