What if a construction site could also be a place to learn a trade, build practical skills and find a way into work? Across our projects worldwide, local inclusion initiatives are built with local partners and tailored to the realities around each project. 🇲🇽 In Mexico, CIMESA is working alongside the foundation Cauce Ciudadano to train teenage girls from disadvantaged neighbourhoods in welding, electrical and mechanical skills, with the aim of opening up job opportunities after the course. 🇳🇿 The same approach takes shape in Auckland, New-Zealand, where Soletanche Bachy and VINCI Construction Grands Projets have developed a recruitment pathway for Māori and Pasifika communities on the City Rail Link project, combining on-site training, mentoring and progressive employment. 🇧🇯 It also drives Sogea-Satom’s Issa programme, active in more than 20 countries. In Cotonou, Benin, this includes a vocational garage helping young people from disadvantaged backgrounds learn vehicle repair. Since its launch, Issa has backed more than 400 job-creating cooperatives and micro-enterprises. Because a project’s impact is also measured by what it makes possible for the people around it. 🤝 #BuildRespectEveryDay Discover more in our new article 👇 https://lnkd.in/eKHgV5VF
