🇮🇹 ACCADDE OGGI A ROMA Il 13 Aprile 1986 Papa Giovanni Paolo II si reca in visita alla Sinagoga di Roma. Si tratta della prima volta che un Pontefice entra in un Tempio Ebraico. Emozionante rileggere la cronaca dell'epoca su L'Espresso: "il Pontefice è stato accolto come un vecchio amico dal rabbino Elio Toaff. I due si sono abbracciati ed insieme hanno completato un viaggio lungo circa duemila anni per colmare una distanza relativamente breve col vicino Vaticano". 🇬🇧 ON THIS DAY IN ROME On April 13th 1986 the Roman Rabbi Elio Toaff welcomes Pope John Paul II to Rome's Great Synagogue: it's the first time that a Pope visits a synagogue.
