This week I’m joining the Belgian economic mission in Calofornia to explore the ecosystem of AI and emerging technology in Silicon Valley. Looking forward to exploring what’s next and sharing a few reflections over the week. Here are some initial observations. Yesterday I drove in a Waymo to my hotel, these autonomous vehicles are all over the city. This morning’s walk to Salesforce HQ every billboard along the way seemed to feature a AI or agent services. Yesterday I ran around the city with an AI engineer at Meta It’s hard to miss how deeply technology is woven into daily life here. First stop of this mission is Salesforce HQ in San Fransisco listening to perspectives from Robin Washington Marc Escobosa Piet Demunter and Matthias Diependaele Great to already listen to a first update in ‘De 7’ De Tijd about this Belgian economic mission.
