I am thrilled to share that our research paper has been accepted for ICRA 2026! Our work, "Bio-inspired Rolling-Disk Continuum Robot: Logarithmic Spiral and Constant Curvature Design with Contraction Capabilities," explores new frontiers in robotic adaptability and bio-inspired design. I focused on the end-to-end FEM simulations, developed specifically to model the complex mechanics of soft robotic structures. Beyond the modeling, I worked on the metrics and rigorous analysis necessary to validate our design's physical characteristics, ensuring our theoretical models translated accurately to real-world performance. This was an incredible team effort, and I’m grateful for the collaboration with Md Modassir Firdaus and Harsh Malodia. Their insights were vital to bringing this project to life. A special thanks to our mentor, Prof. Madhu Vadali, for his continuous guidance and for pushing us toward excellence. Also, a big thank you to IITGN Robotics and Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar for providing the platform and resources for this research. https://lnkd.in/gdY5fsGD #Robotics #ICRA2026 #IEEE #FEM #SoftRobotics #ContinuumRobots #EngineeringResearch
