Too Hot To Ignore: Signals From Our Planet This World Environment Day 2026 🌍 Every day, the climate sends us signals that we are exceeding the 1.5°C threshold set out in the Paris Agreement. These signals are growing stronger than ever, most recently with the record-breaking heat wave sweeping across Europe in May. They are stark reminders that action can no longer wait. This is precisely what this year's World Environment Day stands for, a United Nations initiative led by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP). The global campaign calls on all of us to act #NowForClimate and to choose the right signals to send back to our planet. At Viega, we aim to make a difference. It is a social responsibility that is part of our decisions. We are glad to be part of the journey and committed to the transformation. One example: In 2024, we generated 1,288 MWh of solar power, a 9% increase compared to 2023. Our 2024 Sustainability Report further shows how we are making progress, for example with emissions intensity per euro of revenue down 11.3% vs. 2023 and 16.4% vs. 2022.
