Your brain has an overnight clean-up crew while you sleep. And exercise might help it work better. π§ π΄ ποΈββοΈ New VU research led by Dr James Broatch found exercise may support the glymphatic system β the pathway that clears waste from the brain while we sleep β from supporting better blood pressure and lower inflammation, to deeper sleep and healthier brain activity. π§ π« That matters when it comes to ageing well, especially as researchers continue looking for ways to help protect the brain from dementia and other forms of cognitive decline. Thereβs no magic prescription yet, and more research is underway. But one thing is getting clearer: moving your body helps your brain age better. Watch James explain it on the Nine Today Show this morning, and read the full study π https://bit.ly/4pnVrjh
