A pretty special visit for our research community.🏥✨ Her Excellency the Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, got an early look at VU’s new Research Building & spent time with the researchers & research students already shaping what this place will mean for Melbourne’s west. 👩‍⚕️🧠 Among them was Luke Postlethwaite, who shared his PhD research on using multimodal AI to transform chronic pain education for the communities that need it most – especially those in regional & lower socioeconomic communities. It was a nice glimpse of what’s to come: researchers & HDR students working closely with community across brain health, exercise physiology, ageing well & more.
