When Nick Co offered to build SeaSmart with me, I said yes pretty much immediately. It’s the best decision I’ve made for this company so far: two people rowing in the same direction will take you further and faster than one person doing it alone, every single time. I met Nick because I saw what he was building on LinkedIn, loved it, and sent him a DM. He gave me guidance freely when I needed it. Then I had an idea and started building, and now we’re a team. The lesson: share the idea before it’s ready. The right person sees it, in your comments section, in your DMs, wherever, and wants to help build it, not just hear about it. It could be the best decision you ever make. (He’s also better at sales than I’ll ever be, and I’ve started taking notes when he’s in a room).
