Not all content is created equal. There's content that gets likes. And there's content that builds companies. They are rarely the same thing. I've posted things that got millions of views and generated no revenue. I've posted things that got 50,000 views and filled a programme. The difference = Intent architecture. Content that builds companies does three things: 1. It qualifies the audience. It tells the right people "this is for you" and the wrong people "this isn't." Most creators are terrified of shrinking their audience. But a smaller, qualified audience is worth 100x more than a large, random one. 2. It establishes a worldview. It doesn't just inform - it reframes. It gives people a new lens through which to see their problem. When someone adopts your worldview, they're already halfway to buying from you. 3. It creates movement. It doesn't just sit there being consumed. It drives action. A comment. A DM. A click. A signup. Every piece of content should move someone one step closer to the transformation you offer. Like, comment, share, save - those metrics are vanity. The metrics that matter: How many people DM'd you? How many clicked the link? How many joined the community? How many booked a call? How many bought? I restructured my entire content strategy around this framework. Every post I write has a job. Not to go viral. Not to get likes. To move the right person one step closer. Some posts build trust. Some establish belief. Some create urgency. Some drive action. But every single one has a job. That's the difference between a creator and a creator-entrepreneur. The creator posts. The creator-entrepreneur drives growth with intention. And this same framework works for founders too. Your LinkedIn posts, your podcast appearances, your conference talks - they should all be doing a job. Building toward something. Not just "staying visible." When I spoke at the Chevening Global Conference this year, it did a job. Content without intent is noise. Content with intent is infrastructure.
