Bu yazıda şunu söylüyorum: Çeyrek asra yakın bir süredir Türkiye’de iktidarını sürdüren, otoriterliğini her gün biraz daha pekiştiren, özellikle son on yılda olağanüstü rejimi fiilen sürekli hale getiren; Anayasa’nın ve kanunların artık uygulanmadığı, seçimlik demokrasiden bile uzaklaşmış, yarışmacı otoriterlik sınırlarını dahi aşarak siyasi rakiplerini hapseden bir rejimin yaptıklarına alışmayacağız, bunları kabullenmeyeceğiz. Türkiye’de kapitalin nasıl el değiştirdiğini, kamu ihalelerinin nasıl belli çevrelere aktarıldığını, eğitim sisteminde yaşanan büyük tahribatı, laikliğin aşındırılmasını, demokrasinin katledilmesini ve seçimlerin yalnızca göstermelik bir ritüele dönüştürülmesini anlatıyorum. Ve bütün bunlara karşı açıkça söylüyorum: Alışmayacağız. Kabullenmeyeceğiz. Boyun eğmeyeceğiz. 23 Nisan Ulusal Egemenlik ve Çocuk Bayramı kutlu olsun. In this article, I argue that for nearly a quarter of a century, a government that has maintained its rule in Turkey has steadily deepened its authoritarianism. Especially over the past decade, it has effectively normalized a permanent state of emergency. The Constitution and laws are no longer applied in practice; the system has moved beyond even electoral democracy and surpassed competitive authoritarianism, evolving into a regime that imprisons its political opponents. We will not get used to this, and we will not accept it. I discuss how capital in Turkey has changed hands, how public tenders have been systematically transferred to certain circles, the profound deterioration of the education system, the erosion of secularism, the destruction of democracy, and the transformation of elections into a merely symbolic ritual. And in response to all this, I state clearly: We will not get used to it. We will not accept it. We will not submit. Happy April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children’s Day.
