Myth: If something is recyclable, it gets recycled “100% recyclable” doesn’t always mean “actually recycled.” Many packaging materials are difficult to sort, contaminated after use, or economically challenging to recycle. Glass is different. In 2024, 82,2% of glass packaging was collected for recycling across the EU – a record level (according to the latest data released by Close the Glass Loop). Once collected, glass can be melted and turned back into new bottles and jars again and again without losing quality. A true closed-loop material.
