For many years, our 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐀𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐔𝐬 grant programme has supported projects that improve everyday life in the towns and villages near our glassworks in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Even the smallest of ideas can have a significant impact, whether it's creating new meeting points, providing equipment for schools, or enhancing public spaces. This year marked a special milestone for the programme. In the Czech Republic, we successfully completed the 10𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, while Slovakia celebrated the 7𝐭𝐡 𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. The anniversary year also brought several important developments. We introduced a new visual identity that better reflects the programme's philosophy: just as individual drops of water come together to create something greater, small grants can gradually contribute to improving quality of life in communities around our glassworks. In the Czech Republic, we increased the grant amount from CZK 10,000 to CZK 15,000 for each supported project. This year's programme in numbers: 📌 30 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 were submitted (18 in the Czech Republic and 12 in Slovakia). 🗳 398 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞𝐬 voted (214 in the Czech Republic and 184 in Slovakia). 🏆 11 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐳𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜: • Learning Through Play (Kindergarten, Primary School, Practical School and Children's Home, Kyjov) • Painted Viewpoint (Milotice) • Corner Full of Games and Imagination (Dr. Joklík Kindergarten, Kyjov) • Scenic Frame – A Window to the Landscape (Kostelec) • Support for the Aerobic Centre Kyjov • Mobile Obstacles for the Biketrial Club in Kyjov 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐚: • Mini Golf in Jozef Laco Park (Ľuborča) • Bicycle Parking Area (Janko Palu Primary School, Nemšová) • Purchase of a Tent for the Volunteer Fire Brigade in Horné Srnie • Relaxation Area for Pupils (Janko Palu Primary School, Nemšová) • Giant Chair with a View (Kľúčové) We would like to thank all the organisations, schools, associations and individuals who submitted their projects, as well as our employees who took part in the voting. Thanks to their enthusiasm and support, great ideas can become a reality and help to improve everyday life in the communities surrounding our glassworks. We would also like to give 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬 to our long-standing partner, Kyjovské Slovácko v pohybu, z.s., which helped to set up the grant programme in the Czech Republic ten years ago and has been an integral part of it ever since.
