Providing independent program oversight: The VA OIG conducted a follow-up inspection of the Southern Oregon Healthcare System to assess compliance with the Federal Information Security Modernization Act of 2014 and related cybersecurity standards. The team focused on three security control categories: configuration management, security management, and access controls. This facility was last inspected in 2022 and has since implemented the federal Electronic Health Record system. The VA OIG made eight recommendations, four of which are similar to those made in 2022. https://lnkd.in/ecBGprd6
