The first turbine is now installed at Nordseecluster A. 💪 We have successfully installed the first V236-15.0 MW turbine at RWE and Norges Bank Investment Management's offshore wind project in the German North Sea. Commenting on the milestone, Sven Utermöhlen, CEO of RWE Offshore Wind, said “The successful installation of the first turbine marks a significant milestone in the delivery of Nordseecluster, RWE’s largest offshore wind project currently under construction. Once fully operational, our Nordseecluster will make an important contribution to Germany’s energy security while helping to decarbonise the industry.” Nordseecluster A is expected to have a capacity of 660 MW once connected to the grid in early 2027. It will be followed by the second extension phase Nordseecluster B – a 900 MW project expected to be commissioned in early 2029. We continue to push forward with our offshore ramp-up and strengthen offshore wind’s role in Europe’s energy system. 📷 RWE, Matthias Ibeler
