From the series - people of verocargo Eyes of the whole world are on the World Cup currently taking place in the U.S. and Mexico, but there’s more to life than just soccer. Other interesting sports events featuring Polish national team members are currently underway. The World Championships in sitting volleyball - for people with physical disabilities - are currently taking place in China. Contrary to what one might think, it’s a fast-paced and dynamic game that requires a high level of coordination and physical fitness. 🏐 One of our country’s representatives is Marcin Polak, who works as a Freight Forwarding Coordinator at the Gliwice branch of verocargo. Marcin has been playing as an outside hitter for 7 years. Volleyball is not only his passion and a way to spend his free time after work. As a volleyball player, he successfully serves as captain for both the Aluron CMC Paravolley team and the Polish national team. The national team has, among other achievements, placed 4th at the European Championships and 5th at the World Cup. Playing for his club, Marcin has won the Polish Championship twice and the Polish Cup six times. His biggest athletic dream is to qualify for the Paralympic Games. And today, alongside the national team, he’s fighting for a spot in the top 10 at the ongoing World Championships. 🏆 We’re proud to have people on our team who approach both their work and their athletic goals with passion. A trwają obecnie inne, ciekawe wydarzenia sportowe z udziałem reprezentantów Polski. W Chinach odbywają się właśnie Mistrzostwa Świata w siatkówce na siedząco - osób z niepełnosprawnością ruchową. Wbrew temu, co może się wydawać, to szybka i dynamiczna gra, wymagająca dużej koordynacji i sprawności fizycznej. 🏐 Jednym z reprezentantów naszego kraju jest Marcin Polak, który na co dzień jest Koordynatorem Spedycji w gliwickim oddziale verocargo. Marcin już 7 lat gra na pozycji przyjmującego. Jako siatkarz z sukcesami pełni funkcję kapitana, zarówno w drużynie Aluron CMC Paravolley, jak i Reprezentacji Polski. Kadra zajęła m.in. 4 miejsce na Mistrzostwach Europy oraz 5 miejsce w Pucharze Świata. Natomiast w barwach klubu Marcin zdobył 2-krotnie Mistrzostwo Polski oraz 6-krotnie Puchar Polski. Jego największym sportowym marzeniem jest awans na Igrzyska Paraolimpijskie. A dzisiaj wraz z reprezentacją walczy o miejsce w pierwszej 10-tce trwających mistrzostw świata. 🏆 Marcin gratulujemy dotychczasowych sukcesów oraz trzymamy kciuki za kolejne zwycięstwa.
