Our SPROUT trial protocol paper has been accepted for publication in European Urology Oncology! https://lnkd.in/eypEHR3k This study investigates whether men with a PI-RADS 3 lesion or a PI-RADS 4 lesion and PSA density ≤0.15 can be safely monitored with PSA testing and MRI, rather than undergoing immediate prostate biopsy. The aim is to reduce unnecessary biopsies and overdiagnosis without compromising the detection of clinically significant prostate cancer. We have now included over 200 patients and are working towards our target of 503 inclusions, an important milestone for the study! Many thanks to all co-authors and participating centres for their valuable contributions to this project.
