From water to energy and materials, one conviction is clear: a large share of the resources we need already exists, it is simply underused. At Veolia, we make a clear choice: not to endure resource pressure, but to unlock its full potential. Because behind every constraint lies an opportunity to #innovate. An opportunity to rethink how we produce, how we consume and ultimately how we secure our future. As our CEO, Estelle Brachlianoff stated in her speech: “[…] Resources are no longer a given. They're a competitive advantage. A matter of survival.” This is exactly where we take action. By combining innovation, technology and on-the-ground expertise, we turn untapped resources into concrete drivers of environmental and industrial performance. Key results: ➡️ 34bn m³ of fresh #water saved through digital and AI applications, equivalent to the annual water consumption of 415 million inhabitants ➡️ The potential to avoid 9m deaths linked to soil, water and air pollution worldwide ➡️ 400 GW of unused local #energy unlocked in Europe, equivalent to the consumption of a country of 50 million inhabitants ➡️ 4m tons of critical #materials (Lithium, Cobalt, Nickel…) recovered, representing around 25% of European needs This is not a vision. This is already happening. And this is how we turn #EnvironmentalSecurity into a driver of action, innovation and large-scale transformation.
