Sometimes, you need to pause and see how far you’ve come to understand how far you can still go. VeniSIA - Venice, the oldest city of the future® was founded in 2020 as a university project within Università Ca' Foscari Venezia by Professor Carlo Bagnoli and Maria Claudia Pignata (she/her), now our CEO. What started as a startup accelerator with a bold mission to reverse Venice’s decline has grown into something much more. In April 2024, we became an independent company - VeniSIA S.r.l. By July, we were officially recognised as a 𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙣-𝙤𝙛𝙛. Today, VeniSIA is a 𝘿𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙏𝙚𝙘𝙝 𝙑𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙚𝙧 uniquely rooted in Venice, bridging the gap between groundbreaking research and real-world industrial applications. We work hand-in-hand with companies to build solutions that overcome today’s complex challenges and shape a resilient future.
