Excellent VQR evaluation! VeniSIA - Venice, the oldest city of the future® has been rated Excellent - Class B in the most recent VQR (Valutazione della Qualità della Ricerca), Italy's national research quality assessment exercise conducted by ANVUR, the agency responsible for evaluating the performance of universities and research institutions across the country. With a total score of 34/40, VeniSIA ranks among the top-performing projects in its category. We could have been Class A, but the "Contribution of the host institution" was limited. We look forward to continuing to rely on our work and, hopefully, to receiving greater institutional support in the future. VeniSIA's strength across four key dimensions: → "Social, economic and cultural impact" (9/10): ten startups established in Venice, approximately 1,200 participants engaged through events, demo days and innovation camps, and a validated Co-Innovation methodology now available to partner companies. → "Relevance to the institutional context" (10/10): full alignment with Università Ca' Foscari Venezia's strategic plan and a demonstrated capacity to attract qualified stakeholders at local, national and international level. → "Value added for beneficiaries" (8/10): measurable growth for startups, increased sustainability standards for partner companies, and two quality certifications registered. → "Contribution of the host institution" (7/10): the panel acknowledged solid financial, administrative and human resources management. The score reflects the limited involvement of institutional logistical and scientific infrastructure — a gap that the project team filled through its own initiative and commitment. What makes this result particularly meaningful is that it was built almost entirely through the dedication of the research and project team, a reminder that in academia, as in innovation, outcomes are ultimately the product of the people who commit to them. Thank you to every corporate #partner, #startup founder, and #colleague who believed in this work from the beginning. #VeniSIA #Innovation #Sustainability #Venice #CaFoscari #VQR #SocialImpact #OpenInnovation
