We are delighted to announce that L’Observatoire, the pioneering private carriage aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, has been awarded winner in the 'Best Suite' category at the 2025 AHEAD Europe Awards. This recognition reflects the passion, talent, and vision of everyone who brought this remarkable carriage to life.​ ​Revealed during a ceremony at Evolution in London before an audience of leading designers, hoteliers, architects and industry commentators - this accolade celebrates some of the most refined and forward-thinking hospitality projects across the region. L’Observatoire was recognised for its vision, craftsmanship, and ability to redefine the suite experience through art and imagination.​​ Designed in collaboration with renowned French artist JR, and brought to life by Wimberly Interiors and our own Belmond Design & Construction team, L’Observatoire is a true artwork in motion.
