Senior Partner Badaruddin F. Vellani and Partner Ferzeen Bhadha, of Vellani & Vellani acted as Pakistan legal advisors to ICI Omicron B.V. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Akzo Nobel N.V.) in connection with the sale of its entire shareholding in Akzo Nobel Pakistan Limited (constituting 98.31% of the share capital) to IGI Investments (Private) Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of IGI Holdings Limited. The transaction is valued at approximately PKR 16.2 billion and remains subject to customary regulatory approvals, including clearance from the Competition Commission of Pakistan.
