In case you missed it: this report draws on the experiences of 250 community workers across Victoria on the front line of the rental crisis across Victoria. What they told us is stark.   🏠 𝐍𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 70% 𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲’𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡. 💸 75% 𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞. 📋 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐨𝐳𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬.   The report shows how the crisis compounds for people already facing disadvantage, including family violence survivors, people with disability and single parents.   Victoria has made real progress on rental reform, but there’s more to do.
