Accelerating mobile network expansion takes strong partnerships and yesterday’s infrastructure pact in Hesse is a great example of this in action. Vantage Towers is proud to be part of this joint commitment by TowerCos and the government to improve conditions for mobile network rollout and tackle key challenges together. The pact was signed on behalf of Vantage Towers Germany by Badiaa Bazarbacha at the Gigabit Summit in Wiesbaden. Our sincere thanks to Prof. Dr. Kristina Sinemus and her team at the Hessisches Ministerium für Digitalisierung und Innovation for the strong and constructive cooperation. At the signing, Parliamentary State Secretary Thomas Jarzombek (Bundesministerium für Digitales und Staatsmodernisierung) recognised the significant progress TowerCos have made in recent years and highlighted the importance of finding effective solutions to one of the sector’s biggest challenges: faster power grid connections. Two elements of the pact stand out in particular: ⚡Faster power connections - Delays in grid access remain a major bottleneck. Prioritising electricity connections is essential to accelerating rollout and requires the right political frameworks. 📑 Stronger implementation of “overriding public interest" - By supporting local permitting authorities and providing clearer guidance, Hesse is helping existing legal frameworks translate into faster decisions on the ground.
