Poetic Complications®, since 2006 With the Poetic Complications® collection, the Maison has expressed the poetry of its universe. In this precious environment, creations combine mechanical expertise, precious materials and métiers d'art to enliven each dial with a story. Designed in 2024, the Lady Arpels Brise d’Été watch combines savoir-faire and poetry. Enter the garden of time, where white and yellow-gold butterflies, meticulously crafted from plique-à-jour enamel, gracefully flutter. They dance amidst leaves made of tsavorite garnet and champlevé enamel, and blades of plique-à-jour enamel grass. This technique enables light to pass through the enamel as if through a stained-glass window. The motif is outlined in gold openwork, which is then filled with thin layers of translucent enamel. This bucolic landscape offers a vision of the Poetry of Time, in which the hours tick by in harmony with the eternal cycle of nature.
