Today we typically take a moment to pause and honour those who lost their lives or served on the battlefield at 11:11am. Frankly, we should give more thought to the men and women who never made it home, those who passed away after returning home from war-related injuries and mental illnesses, and our veterans who walk among us. How can we honour our veterans? There are simple things we can do to honour those fallen and those with us, and none is simpler than singing the Canadian anthem when it is played. Our CEO mentioned this to a veteran he recently met for the first time. They wished more people sang our anthem at hockey games, etc. So the next time you have the opportunity, please sing O' Canada "loud and proud."
