"SURRENDER When every sword is broken by its master's trembling hand, When reason kneels before the altar of the unknown, When kingdoms of the flesh dissolve like mist before the dawn, There yet remains one sceptre no tyrant may command— The Fast. Not hunger born of poverty, Nor famine carved by cruel fate, But chosen silence of the soul, Where mortal strength steps aside, That Heaven itself may enter. For God hath hidden strange arithmetic within emptiness: The fuller grows the spirit, The less the body cries. The loudest trumpet of eternity Is often heard within the quiet stomach. The world proclaims, "Consume!" Yet Heaven whispers, "Become." And lo, the feast that feeds the tongue shall perish with the dust; Yet the fast that feeds the soul shall outlive the stars. For every denied desire becomes another window, Through which the Infinite breathes. #Surrender • #Faith • #Grace • #Providence When helplessness ascendeth not as despair but as prayer, It ceaseth to be weakness And becometh prophecy. Blessed is the man whose empty hands Can no longer grasp the earth, For they are now prepared To receive eternity. The proud build towers; The humble become temples. The conqueror subdues nations; The surrendered heart persuades Heaven. What empire may compare With a conscience washed in obedience? What treasury may equal One moment beneath Divine favour? Thus doth fasting become The invisible covenant between dust and glory; A silent trumpet before unseen armies; A lamp that burneth though no oil remain; A seed that dieth only to command forests. #Invocation • #Supplication • #Intercession • #Reliance Therefore fear not the valley wherein every earthly remedy hath failed. For when medicine hath spoken its final word, When counsel hath emptied every scroll, When gold hath purchased nothing but delay, There remaineth one kingdom not governed by men. Kneel. Let thy hunger become language. Let thy silence become thunder. Let thy surrender become thy testimony. For the God who fashioned galaxies from nothing Needeth not abundance— Only willingness. And the heavens shall remember What the earth hath forgotten: That fasting is not the absence of bread, But the presence of trust. That surrender is not defeat, But the coronation of faith. That helplessness is not the end of power, But the beginning of grace. And when history seeketh the strongest among men, It shall not always find those who wielded the sword, But those who mastered themselves. For the greatest victory Was never won by force— It was received Upon surrendered knees.
