Kicking off my LinkedIn journey with one of my most passionate works — THOTS, the annual magazine of Selaiyur Hall, which I had the privilege to bring out after a long time. THOTS is the reflection of the mind of a Selaiyurian — Frank, Forthright, and Mature! It’s been exactly one year since this came out, and looking back brings a tearful flood of memories. As someone with no prior experience in magazine production, this was a very challenging, yet incredibly fulfilling and fun task. Creating a magazine on such a large scale needed not just creative minds, but also patience, teamwork, and resilience. THOTS captures the life of the Selaiyurians and showcases the journey of experiences that collectively shaped them — that's the beauty of Selaiyur Hall, where one enters as a naïve boy and leaves as a Gentleman! This long journey, often filled with sleepless nights, usually started with Lays and Sprite — while the keys clattered and our brains stormed with ideas to bring out the thoughts in us in the most contemporary and imaginative way possible with such insightful interviews, reports, articles and art. Kudos to my editorial board Surya K, Souparno Bhattacharya, Immanuel Staines , Siddharth Sunil, Abhimanyu Sreeshaj , Naveenkumar J, Aidan Abraham , Frufin Rooz and Bonhoeffer Zoyen for relentlessly working night after night to make every page beautiful and visually pleasing. Working with such amazing people has been a great experience — one that I’ll forever cherish. The laughter and fun we shared while working made this humongous task a truly enjoyable one. Anything that is done with love and sincerity always yields a far-reaching impact. Publishing this on the day of our farewell was the icing on the cake. What better gift than a magazine we’ll all cherish for ages!
