"Just treat me like a golden retriever." πŸ• That's the line Francois Smuts uses with Claude. And he vibe coded most of the software running his femtech startup. πŸŽ™οΈπŸŽ§ Episode 3 of the Vibe World podcast with me and RetoΒ is live. Francois is a medical scientist. South African, based in Switzerland. He founded Monix Health, building the world's first wearable biosensor that measures female hormones in real time. A glucose monitor, but for reproductive hormones. Deep tech. Highly regulated. Not where you'd expect vibe coding to show up. Here's how it started. The lab machine spits out raw data. The software to analyze it is an expensive license. Hard to use. Needs Python he doesn't write. So he didn't hire anyone. He opened Claude. Uploaded the raw data. "Analyze this." Then: "Build me an app that does it." Then he gave it the scientific papers and said use these mathematical principles. πŸ‘‰ His whole approach to AI: treat it like the cleverest person you've ever met, who happens to know nothing about you. Give it context. Ask it to explain like you're a Labrador. Step one. Step two. Step three. 🐢 That's all vibe coding really is. You have a real problem. You talk to the AI. You build the thing that solves it. Cost, speed, control. Francois got all three. Mostly because nobody knows his problem better than he does. His last advice in the episode: just keep going. Start at the basics. Don't give up. You'll be surprised. 🎧 Listen here:Β https://lnkd.in/eDGXvd4E
