I am incredibly proud to share the publication of my PhD paper today in Cancer Cell! After years of complex data integration and analysis, this work has been the core of my doctoral research. We set out to map the colorectal cancer microenvironment at an unprecedented scale, integrating 4.27 million single cells to comprehensively characterize the diverse cellular states and functional phenotypes across the CRC landscape. It has been a true marathon of discovery, and I am thrilled to see this resource officially out in the world. Explore the data through our interactive atlas here: https://crc.icbi.at/ A huge thank you to Zlatko Trajanoski for providing the incredible research environment that made this work possible. I also want to give a huge shout-out to my shared first authors Niloofar Nemati and Kristina Handler. I feel incredibly fortunate to have shared this milestone with such talented and dedicated scientists. Bringing this story to life was a massive collaborative effort between our clinical and bioinformatics groups at Medizinische Universität Innsbruck, our partners at the Universität Zürich, and many external collaborators. Thank you to everyone involved for the synergy and dedication that brought this massive resource to the scientific community. Full article: https://lnkd.in/d9RkbqgU
