Wednesday Stories . Wilbur was a very bright student in school and dreamt of studying at the Yale University. But all was not as he had planned. In the year 1885-86, Wilbur met with a terrible accident while playing ice hockey. Due to this he could not pursue his dreams of a career in Yale. Though his physical injuries put him into depression for a while, he did not give up. His industrious nature helped him strive and not give up on his dreams. Along with his brother Orville, he gave the world its first controlled and fully practical airplane. .
