100,000 reusable boxes for fresh & frozen Deliveries. Albert Heijn saves up to 9,000 tons of CO₂e per year. 📦❄️ For over two years, Albert Heijn has been using va-Q-tec boxes for grocery home deliveries in the Netherlands. The vacuum-insulated reusable boxes keep fresh and frozen products at stable temperatures for many hours — without refrigerated trucks and with reduced need for dry ice at select locations. “Our vacuum-insulated transport boxes are improving the economics of food home delivery. Essentially, our passive boxes allow all users to safely transport food without refrigerated trucks or dry ice. This makes home delivery more environmentally friendly and cost-effective. We are very pleased that we can live up to the trust Albert Heijn has placed in us every day,” says Marc M., Head of Sales Food at va-Q-tec. With Vacuum Insulation Panels and Phase Change Materials integrated into the lids, va-Q-tec supports reliable, cost-effective, and more sustainable last-mile delivery.
